Farms
Farmers are used to deal with many different uncertainties like the weather, diseases, and climate changes. To be able to deal with these uncertanties farmers think ahead and make plans for the long term. The price of energy is just one of these typical uncertanties that farmers are dealing with today. Often farmers choose to invest in wind turbines to secure energy cost for a period of time. But there are more reasons why farmers choose for wind turbines. By installing wind turbines farmers make clear to their customers that they care and want to contribute to a cleaner enviorment.
For decades WES wind turbines are a formiliar site on farms around the globe. It started in the Netherlands in 1980 with the first 80 kW turbines, at that time a 80 kW turbine was the biggest turbine on the market. A few years later the 250 kW turbine was launched. Both turbines are still in use at farms around the globe today. Many turbines that have been installed in the 1980's are still spinning fine generating energy for the farmers that own them.
What are the reasons for farmers to use WES turbines?
- Lower overhead
- Energy independence
- Becomming green
- Tax advantages
